Tomato Accessories

This mobile string holder hook, comes in two sizes, at 220mm and 180mm. The spindle or body holds a pre-measured amount of twine from 10 meters for a standard short crop of tomatoes, up to 25 meters for longer cherry tomato crop. This hook can be ordered with 'free fall', so once clipped over the top wire in the greenhouse the small clip is removed, allowing either 3.5 meters or 4.0 meters of twine drop to the floor to be fastened to the new plant.

The hooks are rolled with polypropylene twine (1/1200 biodegardable string with UV protection) produced in the Netherlands, for one season. No warranty after four months can be given with biodegradable twine.

The standard colour of the twine is white, however green and orange/brown is available as an alternative, or where growers want to mark plants with laterals.

Generally; 8 weeks pre-notice is requierd for orders over 10,000 hooks.

Bato Tomato Clips

These Dutch made clips are the most popular for growers wanting to clip, tomato, cucumber and capsicum crop stems to the supporting string/twine. The clips have small holes to allow the stems of the plant to breath, preventing disease. Bato Tomato Clips also have an easy open/close mechanism, and can be reused if the grower desires. Comes in a box of 11,000

Bato Truss Arch supports

These Dutch made Truss Arch supports are used at various times in the crop to support the truss stem under load from fruit. The truss support is applied to prevent bending of the stem, which if left could prevent vital nutrients flowing into the tomatoes and sizing. This arch support has a gentle bend and is easy to apply. Comes in a box of 15,000.

W.D Products Truss Arch Supports

Used the same way as the Bato Truss Arch the W.D Truss Arch has a much greater curve. These have an advantage where the arch support needs to be placed on the stems that are well bent or folded. Comes in a box of 25,000.

NZ Made - Growers Twine ex Donaghys

1/1250 UV treated available in white. Ideal for beans, capsicums, cucumber and tomato crops. Comes in a 3.75kg spool with 5,000 mtr per roll.

Biodegradable available in natural white. Comes in a 2kg spool with 1,500 mtr per roll with a breaking strain of 30kg.

Vertomil 5+1 ex Netherlands

Biodegradable available in tri colour. Comes in a 4kg spool with 2,600 mtr per roll with a breaking strain of 43kg.

Vertomil 6+1 ex Netherlands

Biodegradable available in tri colour. Comes in a 4kg spool with 2,100 mtr per roll with a breaking strain of 52kg.
