NZ Crop Care is a privately owned company based in Pukekohe. We have been operating for the past 20 years, servicing the requirements of commercial and greenhouse growers, turf and home gardeners.
NZ Crop Care is also involved in the importation of many different fertiliser
and trace element products from Asia and Europe. As well, the company stocks a range of crop protection products used in all aspects of complete growing operations.

| Fertiliser use in agriculture |

The use of fertilizers is probably almost as old as agriculture. Modern chemical fertilizers include one or more of the three elements that are most important in plant nutrition: nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium. Of secondary importance are the elements magnesium, sulphur, calcium and trace elements. Natural or artificial substance’s containing the chemical elements will improve growth and productiveness of plants. Fertilizers replenish the soil or substrate by replacing nutrients taken up during crop growth. As fertilizers are a key component of food production, the fertilizer industry is dedicated to ensuring that the plant nutrients it provides are produced and used in ways that contribute to sustainable agriculture and the global food supply. This responsibility extends throughout the life-cycle of fertilizer products: from mining and production to distribution and application.
